Scholarships

The International Federation of Essential Oils and Aroma Trades (IFEAT) supported 20 promising young essential-oil scientists through reimbursement of registration fees.

• Submission of an abstract through the event system
• Submission of a CV and publication list
• Application deadline: 10 April 2023

Registration for ISEO 2023 is closed. Historical fee categories and obsolete payment instructions are intentionally not reproduced on the rebuilt site.

No registration form, payment endpoint or personal-data collection mechanism is active in this archive.

Oral and Poster Presentations

Poster presentation
Poster sessions will take place in the poster exhibition area at the symposium location. The posters should be placed on the assigned session day in the morning and removed just after the end of the session. For your poster presentation we will provide board and pins. Poster dimensions: A0, 841 mm (width) x 1189 mm (height). Orientation: portrait

Oral presentation
PowerPoint, PDF presentations are accepted on USB sticks. The presentation has to be copied to the laptop before the session. Speakers are requested to copy their presentation the day prior to their speech before the session starts. It is crucial that speakers are on time and that they keep their presentation within the allotted time scheduled. The plenary lectures have a duration of 40 minutes, including discussion. The time for oral presentations is 20 minutes (Key note) and 15 minutes (oral), including discussion. Young oral presentations have a duration of 10 minutes for each speaker. Discussion at the end of the session. An audiovisual technician will be available for assistance in the conference hall.

Abstract Submission

You are invited to submit original contributions for oral and poster presentations related to the topics above. The use of an abstract template (maximum 1 page A4 total for one submission) is mandatory. Correspondence regarding the abstracts will only be sent to the corresponding author. It is their responsibility to forward the information to all co-authors. Every effort will be made to accommodate the author’s preference for oral presentation or poster, but the organizers reserve the right to make the final decision. At least one of the authors must register to the congress, otherwise the abstract will not be considered by the Scientific Committee. One registered participant may submit two abstracts.

Essential oils:

• Agricultural innovations (aromatic plants cultivation, breeding techniques);
• Isolation (distillation and extraction technologies);
• Analysis.

Essential oils and their components:

• Biological activity, toxicological effects;
• Application in fragrance industry, perfumery, cosmetics, pharmacy, aromatherapy, food production and agriculture (plant protection).

Essential oils’ components:

• Separation and structure determination;
• Structural modifications;
• Biosynthesis and biotransformations.
